OK, first, right up front and with complete honesty ...
I am a sad old g**.
A PhD in being obsessed with skiing.

Having only 150 days to wait before going to Serre Chevalier for the first time I have been preparing! :oops:
And found this wonderful thing on the resort website.
Aerial views of the slopes that you can move around and zoom in and out and all sort.
They call it view from the sky - here - http://www.serre-chevalier.com/-english-
Anyone seen anything similar for other resorts?

Argghh, thanks so much for that.

I spent five minutes looking for Tony's red trousers (he's gotta be there somewhere), managed to get the resort upside down before going into a flat spin and throwing up on my desk... :mrgreen:

Fun though. :thumbup:

I have planned my first mornings skiing!
Coffee stop, return to resort ....
I even found myself visualising skiing down the runs - madness, things like this should be banned :roll:

Paradiski have something similar, it's great to find out where things are. The wonders of the world wide interweby thing.

Old Old Andy, ( with young heart ),

You will love this!

At Whistler you have now a "virtual ski " video ! That is you get into video section. Then you can ski down trails and view from all sides with mouse! You direct video. Thus your select trails!

What Google has done is placed a special camera on a skidoo very much like they did with cars!

In this manner you can ski ( view ski) all trails from your home!

I have found if you put your ski boots on, ski pants and jacket slightly chilled and have wife throw some snow into your face,,,,it nearly feels like skiing at Whistler!

Zermatt has been busy with the StreetView Skidoo too. The resort won a competition to be the 1st Swiss Resort to have their pistes mapped.
