USA and CANADA - Expensive or what!!!!

I have been looking at spending Xmas and New Year in North America this year but cant believe how expensive the prices have become!!!

I know its the festive season and that gives carte blanche for rip off prices, but I have skied Colorado, California, and a good few resorts in West Canada over the past few years and have always been able to find a reasonably priced break.

For 14 nights we are looking at GBP2500 each, and then there is the lift pass at around GBP750.( And I'm talking a Comfort Inn type place, not the White House!!)

Are Europeans being priced out the market for a reason? Maybe some of our North American contributors could let us know why they no longer seem to want our custom? :?
Jackson Hole GBP1054pp, 14 nights from Heathrow. BUT, BUT, BUT, it is the American close living style, 4 to a room. Two huge double beds. So, if you really like your friends......
I have done this, in Whistler, and another time, 2 couples in two singles, Austrian bed style..... but a man's really gotta love his skiing!
It is true about the lift pass GBP750ish for 13 days.

Yep, considering the lift passes cost about that price that is a brilliant deal. I assume flights will be extra?

Try beaver creek Colorado, go to rbi website, look at condos, 329 for 7 days. Nice restaurants and grocery stores.
