Anyone going to their usual ski resort this summer to mountain walk etc?

Here, we are off to Megeve, French Alps.
We went last summer and its was very hot.
We did tons of swimming, mountain walking , and trained (Tram) it up Mont Blanc, then walked all the way down from the summet. We then drove on to Venice and then Naples. Bloomin' hot hot hot.!! lol

This July we hope to do some white water rafting and horse riding too.

I'll be in Northern Provence,Marseille then Briancon then on to Annecy :thumbup:

Hi,

Yes in deed I will be away the chez jonG in Bourg-St-Maurice , at the end of August for some well deserved R&R and then again for a cheeky long weekend in both Oct and Nov to get myself ready for the upcoming winter season......

.....I think it will be a good snowy season for winter 2011/12, will be getting myself in the mood by driving to La Rosiere from BsM , and then walking/hiking into Italy to La Thuile .

Also will be trying my hand at gold panning in the rivers and streams around BsM, this time Rodders we could be millionaires :D :D :D

Met my girlfriend in Hinterglemm 7 years ago. Getting married in August and going back there for the honeymoon......... How romantic :roll:

Nice one Brucie.

For me, the mountains are for winter time only. Skiing or nothing. Summer is for hot weather holidays, Greek Islands in recent times.

Cannot agree more, Ian. I started out in skiing as an extension to my mountain activity. I love the mountains, year round.
