your stuff

On the back off the thread 'If money was no object', I wonder what equipment you have and how much you paid for it.

My skis are about 6 years old now I forget the make now Atomic something, bought off season and ex demo for GBP120 instead of the list price of around GBP400 - might get some newer ones this year as they are quite heavy. Boots are Salomon's bought off season for GBP65.00. Polls second hand of ebay GBP8 and ski bag new of the bay was about GBP20. Jacket is 5 years old too and I forget where I got it from.

I never pay full price for any of my ski gear, good to see that there are like minded people about :thumbup:

Movement Black Rose with PX12, @ GBP450
Dynastar Sultan 80 with PX12 @ GBP450

Boots: Salomon Instinct CS GBP310 Zipfit Liner GBP200

Poles, Black Diamond Traverse @ 45 Euro

Clothes, I could start a shop, mostly wear Eider and TNF :D

All my hardware except boots was at a discount :D

Hmm, interesting thread. I've tried to spend the money where it makes a difference.

1st set of boots this year GBP260

Socks - GBP60

2 x Ski suits and gloves - GBP40 (SH fleabay.)

Swore not to buy ski's but paid a lot for complete crap renting this year so may take the plunge if I can find an off season bargain... Won't carry them in a canvas sock though will use a peli hard case or similar.

Only other thing I'll willingly spend on are decent contact lenses.

Anyone else got any bit of kit they'd hate to be without?

Scott Neo skis GBP300 half price, with Salomon Z12 bindings

Wedze Carbon ski poles GBP25 from Decathlon. I got them because they've got soft and comfortable grips.

Salomon Mission RS8 boots GBP160 (GBP70 off) in rare white/red colourway

Reusch gloves GBP25 TK Maxx (normally GBP80)

Adidas Yodai goggles GBP55 from the US, normally GBP115

Bailo black ski jacket GBP80 TK Maxx, rrp GBP380

North Face 5 Point jacket in green GBP160 Ellis Brigham, normally GBP240

Black North Face cargo sallopettes GBP75 from US normally GBP150

Nike ACG red sallopettes GBP17 from Nike Outlet store, normally GBP110

Blue Quiksilver sallopettes 110 euros. I had to buy these in ADH when my case went missing, but got the money back on insurance, so I guess they were "free"

I've also got a few fleeces, including a Berghaus one for GBP17.50 from Blacks, and a couple of Alpine Lowe ones for GBP25 in TK Maxx, normally GBP40.

I like to get decent stuff, but I don't like paying full price for anything!!! It pays to shop around.

Goggles are Oakley
Ski Boots are . . .cant remember...will tell you later !!
Crash helmet No Fear
Partners stuff pretty old so prob cant remember where he got it from.

Socks - Smart wool brought at the ski show London a couple of years ago GBP17.50

Jacket - Helly Henson about GBP80 brought from Amazon

Sallo's - Five about GBP30 skiwear4less brought November 2010

Boots - Salomon brought for Euro240 from a shop in LGb

Poles - Head carbon no idea of the price brought at Birmingham ski show in about 1995

Hat - Bobble John Lewis GBP5 in a sale
