San Bernadino Mountains

I am from the UK and will be driving to Palm Springs from LA at the end of Jan. I would like to ski for a couple of days in the San Bernadino area as it's on the way. Can someone recommend the best resort - I'm a reasonable skiier. Any other advice or tips would be welcome.

Unless you like crowdes and lines, I'd skip Big Bear resorts, they are to crowded, go to Mt. Baldy
