Hi all, I'm being sliced open on Wednesday for an umbilical hernia repair. Will I be ski fit by late February?

I had been quoted 13 weeks from Op to skiing, but then the surgeon for got to book me in. I threatened to send the bill for a family ski week to the hospital. That quickly put paid to the sniffy secretary that was dismissing my protests.
In the event, there was an eleven week gap. I was ever so careful. Sometimes took 4 minutes to ski down.

I had a double one done several years ago. Now I'm old but it only took 8 weeks to be fully fit again before I was back playing cricket badminton and then skiing. Seek doctors advice first but if you get yourself fit and go careful you should be OK.
Carving leaves me all on edge
