I might be in NY at the 15 Nov, is there any ski resorts open that time of the year,

Not sure if New Englad area might be the closest, Stowe or Killington. Historic snow reports are not good. Our Trencher is based a bit inland and north, and boards at the end of November on a good year, I recall.
Colorado would be better, but is a 5 hour flight to Denver, + 3 hour drive.

I think your chance of skiing will be subject to the vagaries of the jet stream.
I have bought gear on line from this store, and know they run day trips on coaches from NY. They might be a good source of info.

Well, the snow has fallen in the Western US and many resorts opened a few days early. Breckenridge is close to 100 inches and counting as a new set of storms seem to be on the horizon for the upcoming weekend.
