Hi,
It's nearly winter!!! Yay!!!
My OH and I are considering a bonus ski hol (we always go to Sunshine at Easter) in October and I saw that Loveland, Co. possibly has a season which starts in October sometime? Is this likely this year, and if so, do you reckon there would be a coupla runs that I could do? I can do Strawberry and Wawa no problem at Sunshine, but otherwise a bit nervous.

I'd take a look at their website (skiloveland.com) - I know that they do a lot of pre season snowmaking so that once the snow comes for real it's always got a good base to adhere to. You can also email them to find out the latest news etc.
Loveland also stays open late in the season and it's lift prices are very low compared to the other well known nearby resorts

Loveland is open and has rec'd almost 100 inches of snow so far this season. Yes, it is a good place for beginners.
