I love a good disaster movie.

The world won't be ending in 2012, the Mayans don't even know what the fuss is all about, this is the westerners making something out of nothing.

Again.

Bizarrely, I watched a programme on Nat Geo channel last night about exactly this. The Myan calendar ends suddenly on December 21st 2012, and they predicted a disastrous end to the world. However, on close inspection of the paintings held in Dresden (strange place for them) it shows the crocodile in the sky pouring water on the world from above.
I think this was the Myan prediciton of global warming, thats all.

I am going to fit in as much skiing as I can in 2010/2011 just in case though.....

Maybe best not book skiing for 2013 then. Cheers for the heads up!

This will make for great marketing slogans next winter - "book your ski holiday today - last chance before the end of the world".

As long as the arrival of the giant crocodile in the sky coincides with a cold front we should get some great snow on the last day too...

I will want to look my best when the end comes so have started looking through the ski wear catalogues and websites - must get the colour co-ordination just right. Although, with my luck the world will not end and I shall be the first woman skier killed on the ski slopes by a crocodile landing on her head )
