British Alpine Ski School arrives in Megeve, St Gervais and Les Contamines for winter 2009

The 2009/2010 winter season will herald the opening of a brand new service for British ski holiday makers with the arrival of the British Alpine Ski School (BASS) based in Megeve, France, covering the Evasion Mt Blanc ski areas; Consisting of Megeve, Jaillet, Combloux, St Gervais, and Les Contamines. The aim is to supply high quality, English-speaking client centred courses for British and English Speaking skiers, using only expert British Instructors that are the highest qualified in the world. BASS Megeve will deliver choice to the winter sports enthusiast planning to visit Megeve, St Gervais, and Les Contamines this winter.

BASS Megeve is dedicated to making the whole winter sports experience in the Mountains the "best it can be" providing a friendly approach for first timers and experts alike. Commenting on the launch of BASS Megeve, Director Will Roberts said, "We are ready to provide skiers with a warm welcome to Megeve and the Mt Blanc Valley this season and are looking forward to making a memorable and enjoyable experience for holiday makers who wish to improve their skiing technique.

Whether first timers or regular skiers who always take ski lessons we plan to make it an enjoyable experience with the benefit of instruction in English! "No Mountain is too high or too small it's just how you tackle it!"

Megeve has a charm and atmosphere quite unlike any other alpine resort. The Evasion Mt Blanc ski area is quiet, vast and beautiful, (not unlike many North American ski areas).

Megeve and St Gervais are the best kept secrets in the French Alps. The areas are diverse and have so much choice to offer every level of skier, from beginner to expert. With a vast selection of progressive terrain and plenty to keep everyone entertained, Beginners and Intermediates will love the welcoming slopes around Mt d'Arbois. The advanced skier will relish the challenges at 'cote 2000', and for the expert there is easily accessible backcountry and a great area for freeride and steeps on Mont Joly. These are just a snippet of what's actually available, for everyone the panoramic scenery of Mt Blanc and the evasion area is simply breathtaking, as are the renowned gastronomic delights of the restaurants of Megeve.

BASS Megeve is part of the bigger BASS Network that now has Snowsport schools operating in Chamonix, Courchevel, Chatel, Les Gets, Meribel, Morzine, Tignes, Val D'isere and St Moritz.

BASS has built its reputation over the years by being client centred and believing in innovative and involved teaching sessions - with a maximum level of enjoyment! Experience Bass Megeve this season and discover the exciting world of snowsports in a safe and professional environment.
