Hi, I'm going to Denver tomorrow and I'm going skiing sometime between Sunday and Thursday (just one day). I was wondering which resort would be best for me. I like having moderately steep runs without moguls (steep blues to regular black diamonds). I won't drive any further than Vail.

Also, any recommendations of what skis to bring? I have a pair of slalom and GS skis. I usually prefer to free ski in my slalom skis, but I live by really small hills and wondered if it would be really tiring to go to a big hill with slalom skis.

Thanks for any input.

Hi Joe,
This may be a bit too late, but I like Winter Park, and only an hour and a half away from Denver. There are a LOT of blue-black runs that are pretty steep. These are the ones I ski. So I think they are a blast.

It is pretty late, but thanks anyway. I had a blast skiing at Copper Mountain!
