Flying through rom the UK before I hire car/public transport up to Canada. Looking at getting two days of skiing in. Which would you got to?

Mt Baker (north of SEA)
Crystal Mtn (SE of SEA)
Steven's Pass (north of SEA)
Snoqualmie/Alpental (east of SEA)

Would doing one of the southern resorts on day one work, then as I hire car up north doing one of the northern resorts on the way through?????

Personally having no experience of the above I would go to Baker in search of the legendary powder. THere are a few NA residents here that will probably help you out soon enough.

Depending on when you are going, some places in Washington state are not always snow sure, so you may want to leave your options open. I remember a lot of people had virtually no season there a couple of years ago. Follow the weather situation for a couple of weeks befor you go http://www.weather.com/ . Don't always rely on the resorts own condition reports (there's no trades descriptions act here).

I was born and raised in Washington State and still live here. Crystal is a very good mountain, generally considered the best in the State. I only skied Baker once and don't really remember it at all (I was less than 10, 30+ years ago). For the most part you don't find good powder around here, last year was an exception though. Baker is a 4+ hour drive when I can get to 4 other resorts in about 2 hrs or less. But if it is all about the powder, Baker does have the world record for snow fall in a year at 1140 inches (about 29 meters).

Also in case you didn't know, K2 Was started in Washington State, Vashon Island http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K2_Sports
