Zermatt or Saas Fee would be OK, Saas is probably better for beginners maybe.
Portes du Soleil is a non starter for those dates, Avoriaz will close on the 20th and the other stations will probably have given up before then.
You probably need to narrow down a little first though, with such an open ended question you'll not get a good answer, I doubt anyone has a list in their head of all the stations still open at that time.

Which ski resorts in Switzerland will be operational during 13-24.04.2008, and are also most suitable for beginners/medium level skiers?

does it have to be Switzerland? I'd suggest going to Avoriaz, which is in France, but very high and you ski into Switzerland. Fabulous for beginners and advanced too. If it has to be Switzerland, I don't know the resort names, but if you find Avoriaz it's on the Swiss border, so the nearest Swiss resort there would be good.

ISE, you seem to be very well gen'd up on most things skiing.
Can you advise on where in Europe will be open for skiing early April? I know you said Zermatt and Saas Fe, but how about in other areas? You seem to know that PDS will ve shutting down, but I am keen on the idea of a late season break, and I bet you'd know a few options...???
