Anyone been pre Christmas skiing in the US recently? Where best to go and is the snow worth it at this time of year?

I'm trying to find that out too. I'm going to Aspen in three weeks :)

Aspen is doing not bad 31cm/41cm! Some forcast this week..

In addition i reckon Breck would be the safest bet-if not Jackson which is doing wel just now but its a long way to go!

Breck looks like it's struggling for snow at the moment, but some runs open on artificial snow. Forecast shows a few stroms maybe comng through Colorado next week

anyone has a personal opinion about Breckenridge? I've never been there and I'd like to know if it might be the best pick...
