Ok,
We have all seen each others ones now lets see who really has the best!
I would like to propose a competition to last until I get board (or the admin runs out of disk space!)
I will donate the equivalent of EUR 20.00 to the charity of the winner?s choice!
Oh yeah the comp :D
So what have we all seen of each others? Well the tag lines at the end of the posts of course ... Some truly inspired like (ahem) "skiing is not a sport it is a way of life!" or the exquisite ?putting you hand in the snow as you go round a corner is fun!? and then again some less so like "skiin? roks" ...
Some rules:
1. I pick the winner
2. Nothing antisocial, racist, boardist, etc, etc you know the drill
3. You can quote other peoples but may lose marks
4. Creative, thought provoking, cleaver and witty will be good! (ok at least witty!)
Think that?s quite enough rules!
Good luck and let?s see some truly great tags.
Oh and remember:
?Ski fast and leave narrow tracks!?
"Pain is temporary pride is forever"
?Second place is First Loser?
Or the granddaddy of ?em all
?Never eat yellow snow??

Hadn't heard the term boardist befor, but I love the connotation of racism implied. I'll have to try to be less skiist.

How many am I allowed to enter!
How long can it be! ( the text)
Here are a few
I collect white gold
Ski like a butterfly turn like a bee
First up.....last down
No friends in powder
The endless winter
Keep a snowflake in your mind
Snow a four letter word meaning love
At 60 it is great skiing since it is all downhill
Skiing has two ii, you and I
Tune to burn
Many ways to die, but only one way to live SKI
Skiing is like chocolate,,,the more you take the more you want!
The best skiing is when you have the worst weather
The best is yet to come
More to come next week!!

Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly on a tree.
( Ho you mean it has to be about skiing!!!!!!!)
Families are like fudge! Mostly sweet, with some nuts!
OK OK here are some relevant ones!
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!
Forget the health food, just give me snow!
Romance is dead. So is my mother. Man 42 inherited millions.
Never but never take a sleeping pill before skiing!
There is a fine line between skiing and mental illness
You should not confuse skiing and career.
Never be afraid to take a ski day
Double diamonds are forever
Avoid skiers with cells

More and more sayings are coming out help!!!!
1. Know your limits and exceed them frequently
2. I know this one is long ,,,very long but it is worth it!
Early 80's Top of Kitzbuhel!
Two young rookies on World Cup tour are looking at each other, slightly shaking with that blank look standing just above the Mauefalle!
Canadian: "Carl , do you believe in God?"
Italian : " At Kitzbuhel. what is important is not whether you believe in God, but whether he believes in you."

personal favourites are:-
?The sensual caress of waist deep cold smoke - Glory in skiing virgin snow, in being the first to mark the powder with the signature of their run?
"I now realize that the small hills you see on ski slopes are formed around the bodies of forty-seven-year-olds who tried to learn snowboarding"
?Skiing: I do not participate in any sport with ambulances at the bottom of the hill?
?Skiing combines outdoor fun with knocking down trees with your face.?
?Skiing: the art of catching cold and going broke while rapidly heading nowhere at great personal risk"
?Snowboarding is an activity that is very popular with people who do not feel that regular skiing is lethal enough.?
?Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.?
?Talking from morning to night about sex has helped my skiing, because I talk about movement, about looking good, about taking risks.?
and my personal favourite from the year of my birth:-
There are really only three things to learn in skiing: how to put on your skis, how to slide downhill, and how to walk along the hospital corridor. ~Lord Mancroft, A Chinaman in the Bath, 1974
