Although there has been bluebird skies and no new snow since Christmas Eve, the pistes are still in nice condition and good to ski.
Off piste is poor. Although the avalanche risk is down to 1, the greater danger is slipping on hard snow. Conditions on Indren are hard pack with occasional breakable crust, which is quite treacherous.

Well, the 2-3 cm that was forecast is more like 2 feet at resort level. Due to high wind on the tops and heavy loading on slick, icy slopes, the avalanche risk has gone up to 3, but batting around through the trees in thick powder around Bedemie today was joyful.
Apparently the wind drops tomorrow and the sun returns and is in residence for the foreseeable future, but this is a most welcome top up. Some of the south facing slopes off piste were getting a bit bald and had rocks protruding.
