Seefeld downhill skiing (or Rauris??)

Hello!
Looking ahead to next January. Can anyone tell me about the downhill skiing in Seefeld please? Due to a few years of missed skiing due to health issues we are looking for somewhere in Austria with a small easy ski area (to regain confidence) which is uncrowded and if possible avoiding people who want to bomb around at high speed! Getting the feeling that Seefeld is more focussed on cross country skiing and therefore downhill areas could be good for us (wanting nice blues and easy reds ideally). Or Rauris is another consideration, but Seefeld probably better for additional options to skiing, bigger town/village and option of train to Innsbruck. We have been to many places in Austria over the years, but neither of these two places. Thank you! :)

Skied Seefeld for 15 years, even worked there. Slopes are easy and loads to do in the very pretty village. I last visited there for a day 5 years ago. The Rosutte mountain has been extended ( since my previous visit) but was not crowded. ( we were low season) However there is a cart track off the mountain down to the bottom. But you can comedown in the funicular. I love the resort, it's more family oriented with skibums up the valley in St Anton.

Seefeld is a great small resort, easy to get to. Little advise, in Innsbruck Airport, there is a small shop wher you can buy bus/ rail tickets direct into Seefeld. Let the train take the strain! Very cheap transfer and a beautiful train journey to het you started! ( v.cheap) trains run every hour.
Seefeld itself is not a big resort but enough to do! Lovely places to eat and skiing is decent. Great lifts and never really crowded ( unless half term!) Enjoy

Ive stayed in Rauris...nice little place but the skiing is quite limited ...I stopped at the gasthof Brau which was great ..but it was a few years ago
