Hi all

We have just booked for La Plagne 1800 for next year. Our chalet looks about 400m from the lifts, does anyone know if there are ski equipment lockers to rent please? There is a storage website but it's nondescript and they haven't replied to an email. I know 400m isn't far but it would be nice to know just in case we decide to be lazy (or knackered after skiing all day!)

Thanks

Steve

Plagne 1800 is very small. Struggle to believe you can be more then a short walk from the two chair lifts or one drag or the end of the piste. Excellent location for reaching other areas. Let me know if you want lunch time recommendations or any other advice I know the whole area very well having skied there for 3/4 weeks there every year for the last 10 years
There are no lockers but ski hire shops may store over night if you hire from them

Hi Angela, thanks for your reply and that's a kind offer to advise on the area. We've been to Les Arcs before so had a bit of time in LP but local advice is something not to turn down. I will be in touch before long to get some info if that's ok? Thanks, Steve

Send me a message when you are ready
But in the meantime recommend The Petit chaperon rouge in 1800 for evening meal out close to 1800 chair up a slight end line, traditional regional food

Lunches at the Forperat ( a working farm still using there own eggs and cheese from animals out the back, you can watch cheese being made here) near the top of the Gentil drag lift above Montalbert- take the Fornalet red run or Pralioud blue run down to the French school hostel, turn left in front of the building ski over the road and go straight ahead and you find it

Lunch at the Inversen cafe just below the Roche de Milo on the right. Good onion soup and great views from the glass sided cube

Lunch at the Colossos restaurant next to the skating rink just above and to the right of the Colossos chair lift at Bellecote check out their dish of the day

Lunch at the Matafan in Belle Plagne- big sunny terrace

Lunch at the Chalet de la Roche my favourite -but first take the 1800 chair out of 1800 and have coffee at the Bonne Vieux Temps ( very old farm building built into the hill) right off the chair and just below above bottom of the Golf chair. Come out and go straight down red Andre Matzolf or Emile Allais or blue Cornegidouille run to La Roche

All the above have great and for the area reasonably priced food in good locations. Avoid self services other than the reflective glass cube at the top of the Ardret chair opposite top of the Montalbert bubble which is worth a visit for a drink or lunch for the views and modern style food

Enjoy . I will be there for all of January and 2 weeks mid March
Angela
