Have had a plan for extreme backcountry trip (la Grave) beginning of march. The forecast is quite sad, sun and high temps for the next 10 days. It has been a poor season for snow - Base snow depths are upper mtn 160cm, lower 70cm. 63% of is North aspect. I am looking for some advice on whether the terrain will be very ski-able, assuming no new snow! Please let me know

Is March, just over 1/2 way through the season. Current conditions everywhere are reported as fantastic with only some runs into lower towns starting to struggle a bit. Does anyone really enjoy the car track to town?
Look at your worst case scenario in la grave:
1) no powder
2) 10:30 snow softens and you get to ski steep terrain that is never possible otherwise
Sounds awful!
