Easy Red Runs in El Tarter and Grau Roig

Evening folks,
Our group- varying abilities is coming to Grandvalira for a week on Jan 20th. We have one lower itermediate skier who would like to tackle some easier red runs. He's previously skied blues in Austria and Italy. Are there any easyish reds in El Tarter (our base), Soldeu and Grau-Roig? And ones yhat should be avoided? As the conditions are not the best, the runs will be either very icy or slushy depending on temperatures :/

Conditions are fine. El Tarter has lots of reddy/bluey runs. The run back to El Tarter is called Esquirol and though a blue, has a slightly steeper pitch at the bottom. A good place to gauge where members of your group are.

By and large most of the reds in the area don't have any hidden horrors providing the snow is OK.

Lots of nice blues for beginners and others to gain confidence.

Generally the Granvalira is pretty consistent about how it grades its runs.

Been there many times with my son who was learning so I'm pretty familiar with the relative difficulties of the reds and blacks there.

Esparver (red) and Aliga (black) running down from the top of Espiolets chair to the main area in El Tartar are both ridiculously easy.
Cucut (red) if you join it after the steep (but fun) start is a good run down to Assaladors chair
Isard (red) lovely tree lined and usually quiet run back to Riba Escoxada area from the Canillo side.
The reds Pla de les pedres and riu de les solanelles running down to Pla de les pedres are both similar to blue level.

The reds running into Grau from the Pas de la casa side are all pretty easy as are the ones running under the Llac del Cubil lift.
As for ones to avoid - most memorable are the steep icy starts to miguel & llop.
the good thing about Grandvilara is that there are generally no hidden surprises. If you are at the start of a run and you think it looks OK then it generally will be as the hardest parts are usually at the start. The obvious exception is with a couple of the blues running down to the bottom of Soldeu and El Tarter which have steeper and sometimes icy bits - but generally only a problem for the earlyish beginners
