Hi guys and a happy new year.

Heading to Soll at the end of the month. I have skied the Skiwelt area several times and know it pretty well. However, I have never tried to ski over to Kitzbuhel from the Skiwelt area (over to Westendorf, then down into Kirchberg and connection from there?). I think it may involve a bus connection for part of the trip but my real question is whether firstly it is doable in a day from Soll and secondly, is it worth the hassle? Anyone got experience of making this trip?

I will not have transport so driving over is not an option!

You can do it, but you need an early start from Soll and good conditions. I would get gondola to top of Hohe salve then take black 2 down the back of the mountain. Its usually a horrible steep mogle field but it cuts off the run right round and will save you about 60 to 90 mins.
You still need to get a link bus and you will need to ensure your pass covers Kitzbuhel as well. I think you can get a bus from Brixen/Westendorf or from Ki West which is the farest point of the SkiWelt in terms of nearness to Kitzbuhel.
My personal view is that for the time you will get over there it is questionable as to being worth it.
Personally I would get an early bus from Soll to Kitzbuhel and spend the day there. Its a good area and worth a visit.
Please note the above are my views from exerience, but others may not agree.
Skied: On snow, On water, On mud, On slush, On ice. Oh, and on a few dry slopes.

Easy done, ski over to Westerndorf, then all they way down to Ki West. There's a short bus journey only 3-4 minutes to Skirast, lift Pengelstein 1.
It's worth checking the bus times on the Kitzbühel site, as I think the are not as regular around lunchtime.
You'll need the Kitzbühel/Salzburg super ski pass, which you can get through your rep or at the Soll lift office, it'll be an extra €30-40 for the week.
Just a note for a lovely sunny day there's a hut 45 just at the side of run 30, just below where you get off the Pengelstein Lift , has wonderful views up The Valley.
Enjoy your trip.
