"An incident occurred today at mid-day on the télécabine gondola. There are no injuries. Teams from the lift company were able to evacuate all the people from the other cabins," a statement from Pra Loup's management said.
The statement continues that skier safety was the resort's top priority and it requested people did not speculate on social media as top the cause of such an unusual event until an investigation, currently underway, delivered its findings.
About 70 people were reported to be on the lift at the time and all were evacuated from the stationary lift this afternoon.
