Staying in La Tania at end of Feb and some mates are in Val Thorens . Does anyone know if there is a bus back to La Tania if we stayed late for some apres ski one night or if it is a taxi job and what the rough price would be.

On Google maps it looks to be over an hour's journey by car.
It "can't" calculate a bus option for this journey.

2.5 hours and £20 on the bus ...£55-70 in a taxi...its a long way

les Menuires Local bus stoped at 11pm. To be sure late Taxis needed booking and a trip across 2 of the valleys is region of £50-£80 +

You could always enjoy the apres ski at the Folie Douce at the top of Val Thorens, and then take the last lift back to Meribel and get a taxi from Meribel to La Tania, it wouldn't cost as much. Either take the free bus to Meribel Village and get the taxi from there as it's closer to La Tania, or take a taxi direct from Meribel. (closer to 30-50 Euros for a taxi)

Why not go old school and just kip on the floor at your mates place? It's how we used to do it back in the 80's :)
Heck I remember one year in Val D'Isere my mate did not even get his ski boots off for three days :o
