Hey guys.
Just on my way home from a week of eventful skiing.
I have never seen so much snow! Had 1 good day skiing last Monday. The rest had many pistes closed and lifts closed. Wednesday was a no go.
We stayed in Arc 2000 and had to get the bus most days over to 1600... Remind me never to get them buses again. It was a free for all, people fighting to get on the buses! (Maybe this is normal?)
I am currently sitting in Lyon airport waiting to get home. Yesterday's transfer was a no go with the roads closed until late afternoon. Missing our flight from Grenoble we were put up in a airport hotel last night. And a 5 hour wait in the airport for our afternoon flight.
All in all its been a good week and I think if the weather calms down in Les Arcs there is enough snow for the rest of the season.
Check out my video on YouTube. It's a quick video I made when I was bored yesterday.
I'll add a ski video once I'm home.

Sounds like a bit too much of an adventure, but look forward to the ski vid!
Never seen more than a handful of people on those buses ...
Extraordinary! Thanks for that. I think there's enough snow now...

Ha ha I had never been on the buses in resorts before. It was the only way to the lower slopes resorts.
After queuing for an hour and letting 2 buses go away full I realised the only was was to push though...
Nice place. But I would never stay in 2000 or 1950 again.

Love Les Arcs but also wouldn't stay in 1950 or 2000 by choice. There is an argument that on good snow years ("good" not "mental" as we seem to have!) you can get first lifts all the way to the top of the Aiguille Rouge and ski all the way down to Villeroger but not enough of a reason IMHO.
I have stayed in Peisey a couple of times and in Monchavin les Coches once and had great holidays in both. Very close to the Vanoise Express so you have the choice of Les Arcs or La Plagne each morning depending on the weather/show conditions and you're slap bang in the middle of a huge piste map. I still find I favour the skiing on the Les Arcs side but nice to have the option.

Yes on Monday we were at the top of the Glacier and skied right down in to Villeroger. From there we were up and over to 1600/1800 And then skied home.
That was the only day we could get across to the other side or to the top.
We spent a few days skiing in Vallandry and Peisey. Really good round that area and the trees seemed to help with the wind.
Unfortunately we never made it over to La Plagne.

Windows Movie maker, unfortunately it was. I hate the software but it's all I have. That was on my Mrs laptop as was in the chalet at the time. So worse're tools than normal:lol:
But Yeh the snow was mad. Never seen that much snow in my life. Didn't think to much snow was a thing.
