And this may be Tignes le lac, but we won't know until they've uncovered it...

No! I thought it looked like le lac but I've never seen it with that much snow and - on 2nd watch - don't think so. Anyone recognize which village it is?

.... that poses an interesting (though possibly stupid) question - how much weight can the iced-up lake take? And what happens if the volume/weight of snow becomes more than the ice can bear? Could it cause a mini-tsumani if the ice gives way?

I think it starts in Val Claret (pretty sure it is the Tichot lift on the left, with Cahrdonnes in the distance, then ends up in La Lac. You can see the Hotel L'Arbina, which is just beside Toviere.

I think it's all Tignes Lac, but on the Lavachet section - at 47 seconds that is a Ski Val member of stuff digging out the Alpaka Lodge
