Off to Sauze again this year but fancy going to Austria Jan 2019. Where is a good area with plenty of blues and reds with good snow for two steady skiiers. Also is it better to do a package or diy trip. Looked at diy and was thinking of Flachau. How easy is it to get to from Salzburg by train/bus. Many thanks

The Skiwelt (Soll and connected villages) is a very extensive ski area with lots of blues and reds. It is very easily reached from Munich.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm would be perfect for you!!! I skied Sauze and enjoyed it - but S-H to me knocks then socks of Sauze!! Great pistes for reds and blues - ski all day - never cover the same run twice. Lovely village atmosphere and some superb authentic mountains huts whilst on your travels!
