Hi all,

Newbie here (be gentle...)

We boarded at 1800 last year in feb which was epic, got a ton of snow, but we also had the "fun" of the french kids...

This year we are planning to go early jan or after french h/t finishes in march.

Would anyone be able to give an opinion on what snow conditions are like in mid-march onwards?

My better half is a beginner so we don't typically venture up any higher than the mid-point transarc and tend to stick towards the tree runs...

thanks in advance!

I skied in March in LA last season. Conditions were good. If you head up to the beginner slopes at 2000 you should be ok. I'm off there again this season in March. We typically stay at 1950

Mid-March snow depths in Les Arcs are usually measured in metres at the top at least...

Worth noting that the seasons plotted above were slow starters and not classics for snow, so average is a bit higher.

Past performance is no guarantee of future snow, and nobody will know for sure until March, but you'll be alright. 8)

Have to agree with adders on this one. Last March (about 15th) snow down the edge of the pistes was waist deep and on the piste knee deep in places. Loads of fun, beginners in our group loved it as it was a nice soft landing :)
