Engelberg is one of your options. Amazing resort that has enough for everyone from beginners-powder hounds, snow sure, reasonably priced.

Flumserberg and Hoch Ybrig are closer to Zurich although neither is as extensive as Engelberg, one of my favourites. But both are very enjoyable for a day or two and very easy to get to.
PS - why is this in Italy and not Switzerland? -)

Flumserberg. We went over to watch swansea play in st gallen and had a cheeky 3 days in this place. It was fab. early December and we had powder every day. Knee deep. Food was very expensive though. Made my eyes bleed a little.

Flims/Laax is an excellent and quite large ski area about 2 hours from Zurich. Well worth considering.
