hi guys
im going to borovets in a couple of weeks(first time skiing) and was just wondering what currency to take...should i take lev or euro or a mixture of the two?
also what is the duty free limit?...ive heard different things and even from customs who i emailed there reply was very confusing

hi ..there is no duty free from Bulgaria as it is in the EU so you can bring back what you like and as I recall they will take Euros and you will probably get a better exchange rate there to them

I found that I had a much better rate in borovets. I changed a few pounds over here for the first night in resort but there are many places to change money. Samokov is 24 hr at reception. Most hotels change money and I found the rate just as good as the kiosks.
Unless you have euros already I would just take gbp to save the exchange rate cost to euros then to Levs.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can advise on the snow conditions late Feb as I am going away to borovets and do not know what to expect with regards to depths of snow ?

You Definitely get a better exchange rate in the resort
