Thought I would start a new thread for this year. Do get in touch if you require information on snow, sun, crowds, bars or any other matters you may deem to be relevant.

Thank you Brucie. It's really helpful having someone there who can give advice. We've never skied in Andorra but are seriously considering it due to cost. Went to Switzerland last year and thought we got very poor value for money. Time for a change I think.

That's the way if everybody followed suit, France would have to reduce it's ridiculous prices ....
Are back for a season this year Brucie ?

Probably should have said that in original post Ian. I will be in Soldeu from early December to early April. Probably do a couple of weeks instructing with interski in Aosta valley.

Strange question at this early time, but debating booking for week of March 20-27. Going by previous history and our experience there two years ago last week of March. It was really good conditions with a whiteout and excellent skiing.

Does anyone think it would be a dumb move booking early for that week?

The reason reason I ask on this thread is due to previous snow history/conditions and having kept an eye on your reports over the last two years, your knowledge and opinion is of importance.

Nothing is certain but conditions in that week for the last three years have been fine. It can be very changeable at that time of the year, from warm spring skiing to late season dumps. You may get a better deal nearer the time, but I wouldn't put you off early booking. It adds to the build up and anticipation!

You've mirrored my thoughts on the subject. Reason we're booking so early is because of family coming in from other countries, due to this, general consensus was to book a week earlier. So that got sorted.

This won't be my only trip, got one planned for January, booking that one late, keeping an eye on snowfall. Maybe more if good dumps and cheap deals become available.
