Soldeu ski trip dec 2015

Can anyone help? I'm thinking of taking the kids skiing 19th - 24th December. Does anyone know what the snow is like at this time of year and if snow cannons are in use. Should I take a chance?? :roll:

Snow in December has been good the last few years. Better than the Alps in fact. That is not to say it will be good this year. Snow making is probably the best in Europe, so if its cold enough, there will be snow to ski on.

Hi thanks for your reply has made me feel much better and was looking at the hotel Nordic as looks like plenty of things to keep kids entertained if we have face no snow :lol:

Nordic is in El Tarter and probably quite nice, but the vibe in Soldeu is better.(In my view).

I agree had great times in soldeu. (Been in March last 4yrs with large adult group) but taking 10yr so thought this may be better for children, but open to suggestions if you know of anything? Would ideally be looking for half board and found good priced easy jet flights to Barcelona and can either hire car or take the coach.
Where's the best place to book for 3 days ski school,pass and hire for children? I have my own and have usually booked with neilson but doing it all separately this time.
Finding it hard to book through an agents for only 5 days most only do 7 days!

Andorra Travel Service are the best for independent travellers. They are in resort in Soldeu, but unfortunately I cant find a link to their website. (Probably something to do with Andorran protectionism). You could contact them via Facebook and let them know your requirements and they will be keen to help I'm sure.
