When I go away by myself for a weekend I usually end up with a double room and my chosen ride gets the other side of the bed, well at least the first night )
MFC - your skis don't look very well, they're a bit pale mate. And a bit thin round the waist ) And a bit miserable too. Need a bit of colour on their topsheets.
Eljay, I usually refer to my ski's as something personal. These new ones are definitely my babies. I reckon MFC's are male though, so he needs to be careful about putting them in his bed and what he calls them
Yours have Scott written across the top....end off

Its deeper routed than just a jealousy of something new. It stems from previous unhappy experiences usually, which leads the owners to feel a degree of contempt towards their skis, often reflected in a lack of care and understanding in their relationship. Baulking at putting skis into your bed is a sure sign of this breakdown in their relationships. I wouldnt be surprised if some of them havent even had their skis serviced after last years trip - that really is when its all over and time to move on.mfc wrote:Tony_H wrote:Oooh, I do detect that some people are not totally happy in their relationship with their skis....

I also find many people take one look at your (our) more attractive younger models and wish they too had something a little more cute or pretty. There is nothing worse than skiing around and seeing someone with skis you prefer to your own, and subsequently that spark between you and your skis has gone, the fire is out, and its never going to be the same again. You can wax them to your hearts content, but you are never going to quite feel the same again.
Oh well, you and I MFC will have a lovely romantic time on our respective trips this season with our babies. I just feel sorry for those who have fallen out of love with theirs, it must be a horrible empty feeling......

You can keep your new skis. Tara is all I need.
I found a new use for my board in Saas Fee in August.
Dig 2 (8" deep) holes about 22" apart, turn your board over and place bindings in aforementioned holes and et voila mobile sun lounger.
Jazz.
