My wife and I booked a trip to Whistler in early Feb, staying at the Westin. We live in the Portland/Vancouver, WA area.
We live and ski in Oregon and so this is the first major ski vacation for us to a world class resort. We will arrive on a Friday and stay through Monday.
Our thought is to Ski Sat and Sunday and take in the town on Friday eve and Monday.
Are there any must visit restaurants or must do activities besides skiing ?
Of course we are hoping for good weather, but wanted to have some activities lined up in case weather doesn't cooperate with us.
We are used to skiing Mt. Hood and Bachelor in Bend. We are comfortable skiing in temps from 20F and higher. My impression is that Whistler may be much colder, is this true ? If yes, we may need to upgrade our clothing.
Any thoughts about great places to eat and drink would be much appreciated and any thoughts about how to get the most out our vacation would be great.
Thanks !
Jason
