With snow having fallen on every day this last week, Cairngorm remains open for business.

According to the fine people of Winterhighland :-

If you're reading this email on Friday 18th May, you're also reading it on the 16th day of snow fall this month on CairnGorm Mountain! Yes, you read that correctly, so far this May it has snowed every day bar 2 on the 'Gorm and the even better news for skiers and boarders is that the third weekend in May is set to see increasingly fine weather as high pressure builds in, with light winds both days and CairnGorm Mountain is still offering 1250ft of lift served vertical with an additional 300ft on offer to those hiking to the Summit.

Grrr,I am in Manchesterland for the weekend, will be on Kinderscout on the morrow, then a couple of days in the Midlandlands working with guide dogs.

Like Icy, I am up in the Highlands and Islands for a couple of weeks, there is room in the Land Rover for the Atomics and the banjo......
