Crevasse Rescue in Les Arcs

3 skiers left Les Arcs via the Grand Col area. At about 3200 metres one fell into a crevasse hidden by snow. A man of around 40, he fell 7 metres, dislocating a shoulder.
A nearby Mountain Guide witnessed and gave assistance. Using a crevasse rescue technique the Guide was able organise pulling the man out by his harness. The injured man was airlifted to Arc 2000.
