Does any one know what the resort is like and how good the snow is please we are going next Tuesday?

Friend of mine came back recently from Valloire, linked to Valmeinier by lift.
He said the ski area was good, all fairly gentle stuff and excellent for his wife who is a timid developing skier, with nursery slopes at the top rather than low down.
The link can be shut between both areas unfortunately in bad weather.
Valloire is a pretty old rustic village, unusual for French resorts as lots are purpose built monstrosities!!
