Best or Cheapest way to get from Geneva to Val d'isere/Tignes

Looking for recommendations on transfers from Geneva to either Val d'isere
or Tignes.

Is it necessary to go through bourg st maurice?

Getting pretty late like 10:30 to Geneva is that too late to try and
make it to the resorts or should I just go the next morning?

If you haven't bought your flights yet, and you're coming from Paris, as you said in your other thread, I would have thought it would be much easier to get the train from Paris to Bourg St Maurice, rather than go from Paris to Geneva to Tignes or Val d'Isere.
