Where to go in Andorra

I was in Arinsal last Thursday/Friday, and the conditions are really excellent. There was about 20cm of new snow last Monday, and more has fallen this weekend. Should be great skiing over the next few weeks!

BTW try Surf for a good Argentinian style barbecue steak!

Hi,

The budget airlines are making it tough to carry anything but the basics within the luggage allowance, and hoping (I guess) to make at least some money out of charging for the oversize/overweight luggage, especially during the ski season. I just got back this evening from dropping the OH at Girona where Ryanair police are on the steps up to the security check, making everyone drop their handbagage in those carry-on bag checking frames and sending peeps back to the oversize luggage desk if it doesn't fit.
It's getting time (IMHO) to bring back the ski trains, chartered specials that are run overnight to get to the major resorts the next day, and (hopefully) avoid a lot of the hassle with airports, baggage handlers and stroppy check-in staff!

Has anyone even seen anything available, is this an an option?
:-) Thanks, Admin, good for me too!

Oh, that's a bit drastic RossF!

Listen I suggest a late season (April) trip to Barcelona. You get the train to La Molina at 7am , or the bus to Andorra (or rent a small car) & you are on the slopes by 10. Meanwhile the OH is sunning on the beach, or enjoying the shops or museums while you pack up at 4pm and meet the hopefully happy OH for an evening meal and a night out! Repeat this prescription for a week, or until you have had enough snow for a while.

Peace and harmony (maybe...)

Or you can divorce!

Sorry for the tardy reply. It was a great day with powder and good clean pistes. I'm a day skier though, and deals are hard to get, unless an afternoon pass can be called a good deal! Haven't had to check out the hire scene, I bought new gear at the start of the season.

In any case the snow keep coming, and more is due the coming week.... bring it on!!!

This was the scene from the town at mid-day today. Surprisingly quiet with lots of empty lifts, but lovely weather and snow!

Too many hangovers?
:)
