Hi Budvegas! No, not Andorra, but a small town not so far from Barcelona. It's close enough to Andorra though that I can drive there in a couple of hours, ski all day, and be home again for dinner. The TV in Andorra comes mainly from the Catalunyan stations of northern Spain, and this was a
leading news story on most of them. I like Arinsal very much, and the snow was already great when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Most of the resorts in the Pyrenees are reporting anywhere from 25 cm and up of new snow from this fall alone, with a chance of more snow on Sunday.. Have a fabulous time, folks!

I wore my shiny new helmet while in La Molina last Sunday. There was a strong wind lifting the powder up the mountain, but wearing the helmet I was really cosy, much more so than if I had worn the usual hat. Second, I was amazed how comfortable my goggles were all of a sudden. All the headband pressure was taken by the helmet, and so felt much nicer to wear. Finally I wiped out at the end of the afternoon, and although I could feel the fall on my shoulder, nothing on the brain box. But when changing and loading the car boot with my gear, I noticed a lot of small scratches on the new helmet. I had hit my head on the packed piste and not felt a thing. So, I'm a convert!

I was just watching the local news, and gobsmacked to see news pictures of today's snow in Andorra. More than 80cm has fallen during the past 24 hours, and the bad news is, from what I understood, Andorra is closed, including skiing until they have cleared the roads and access to the slopes!





The good news? The weekend is almost here..... :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
