Waltons plan ski trip!

Hi John,

Don't be put off by the seperate chalets it's all just one big place that can be seperated into different sections if you need.

I think we used 2 bit's of the chalet which just meant that sometimes you needed to go outside to get to someone elses room. There are a couple of individual lounges too so you can get away from each other if you want too!

Cheers

Paul

Hi John,

I take it from your "hotel" request that a catered option is what you need...who wants to cook for 30 odd?!

I cannot recomend enough the Snowchateaux in Peisy Nancroix as a catered chalet option. I organised a trip last season for 19 adults but the full chalet can accomodate 36 as far as I can remember. Very friendly staff, excellent food and a great atmosphere in a traditional style chalet.

Peisy is a lovely small village that feels a lot more French than many other areas of Les Arcs but has immediate access (via the lobster pot lifts!) to the Les Arcs side of the Vanoise Express link to La Plagne, which is also the site of a fast 6(?) chair linking you to the rest of Les Arcs.

Have a look at their website http://www.snowchateaux.co.uk/ and feel free to Pm me if you have any questions.

We would be going back this year if the week we needed wasn't booked up in August!! Oh well, it's Meribel for us.....in 29 days!!!

Don't know where in the North east you're based but the Xcape at Castleford is OK and very easy to get to (just off the A1).

When I learn't I did have a few lessons on a dry slope first and then found the whole thing a lot easier when I got onto the snow!

If you want to go further afield the new Chill Factory is open in Manchester but I will admit the trek over the Penines puts me off!

I would be another one to sing the praises of Les Arc, nice wide blues around 2000, lots of mileage and some brilliant blacks and reds if that's your thing!

Have fun!
