I have booked Andorra but worried that the choice of the aparthotel del clos next the hotel nordic is in a very quiet spot and the walk to soldeu is not that simple would like to be able to walk out and about and sample the atmosphere/window shopping do not think this resort to do that or as beginners will we be completely shattered anyway.
Also with kids being 23/17 need some nightlife new year at 1850 looks fab outdoor disco etc..

this place seems to tick all the boxes i have been looking at a small hotel called hotel st.louis in 1850 half board looks good and reviews are very good I am having to do my booking through crystal as they have my deposit so I will lose out if I move to anyone else.
You are right about lift passes might just stay with the local ones I do not think we will be venturing too far my wife and i are about to start lessons this week but my son and daughter can ski but I thinks they will be okay with local ??
Any further adbvice would be great.

I am axpecting it to be very very busy
and getting on and off the slopes to be queueing european style everyman for themsleves??

and I like the sound of 1850 whatever that is I will take a look will it be ok for snow and beginners at New Year ??

Hello to everyone first post.
We have booked a holiday to el tarter in andorra on 30th of december.
I have learned to snow board indoor only.
I am about to have ski lessons with my wife.
Neither of us have ski before.
two kids 17 and 22 ! both can ski.
son 17 has done usa 5 times with school
daughter 22 done bulgaria two years ago.
This is all for wifes 50th.
I have read many comments on Andorra and for our standard of skiing would seem ideal.
The only thing that is worrying is snow conditions and lack of anything to do of an evening I think we are in the quiet part of a quiet resort I would like to wonder about at night if I have the energy and enjoy winter wonderland. The girls love to shop and we feel this resort will be not be the picture post card place we are expecting.
I am thinking of spending some more money and moving location maybe even USA ?
