tignes, love it... plenty of stuff to do like, subaru ice driving , scuba diving underneath the frozen lake, big fitness center, skiin off the mountain with a parachute and an instructor strapped to you! fantastic not too busy round xmas either 3rd year in a row for us now, although were driving this time instead of flying. 17 of us going and the ages range from 72(my grandad and yes he still skis!) to only 7 years old! skiied D'Huez last feb it was ace if you go see of you can find a band called hudson fall.. or summat like that, there brilliant! both fantastic resorts, i think tignes is higher up though??

Were going to tignes in france for the 3rd year in a row for xmas and new year. Theres three familys going an all sort of experience between us! As people have mentioned you should look for somewhere high up, this resort is and usually has a good amount of snow! I have skiied in austria which to be honest, i do prefer but you cant beat the outdoor new year eve party in tignes!
