Over the last few years Val Thorens has installed Wifi through-out the resort, in the past this has not been free. However it is now! It is also available whilst sitting on a lift (not all lifts at the moment)

Would ski anything but always hated moguls, then one day had to ski through mogul field and they were big ones, no option, why I dont know but everything just clicked and loved it now go looking for moguls the bigger the better always trying to ski the whole mogul field without stopping Everything just came together still cannot explain why either, but now mogul mad |

Your car with roofbox needs to be less than 1.83m I use a roofbox with ski rack alongside which will carry 3 pairs of skis leaving the roofbox free for ski poles etc as ski bindings take up a lot of room

I would not like to recommend what runs to look at as no idea of what the conditions will be like |

Make sure bases are dry I then apply hot wax and scrape to clean base then apply a hot wax and leave till next season, then give the skis a full service, it is also a good idea to release bindings but remember to reset them for next season

Xmas in the 3v is relatively quiet, starts to get noticeably busier from the 27/28th onwards
La Tania could be risky, this year was excellent runs down have been extremely quiet heading down to Bouc Blanc restaurant above resort, did not drop all the way to village level though, I personally would look at Meribel Raffort or Les Allues cost drop significantly much better access to all of 3V or Mottaret a lot of SC ski in/out |

Chatel in January hire car €240 transfer €300, a bit of fuel and an excess waver, I should have gone with the taxi as the car sat outside the apartment all week
