Packing Skis, avoiding damage.
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 39 Replies
We are going with Inhams flying with Austrian Airlines. This paragraph is in the Inghams T&C's.

"Applicable to all airlines: Please note that each ski bag should only contain one pair of skis/snowboard. Airlines may refuse to accept ski bags containing clothing and ski boots, etc.
Your insurance company may not, and Inghams do not, accept liability for non-delivery or damage to any other items you pack in your ski bag."

My ski bag doesn't have any padding around the bindings so I am also looking for something to protect. Any suggestions greatly received!

Just re-charged our ski passes for Les Arcs in January and got 15% discount. Thanks for the tip Chris!

We're thinking of a cheeky March '13 trip 3 or 4 days or the 2014 January trip 7 days, any thoughts, recommendations?

Snapzzz - We too have the green one from last year which you can reload on the internet. Doing that this week to take advantage of the discounts. Don't throw them away when you've finished!
Dolomites - Arabba or Moena

Hotel Cesa Padron is about 15 mins from Arabba. Does the hotel have a shuttle bus? If so they will probably drop you right outside either Potovescovo cable car for the Marmolada side or Burz chairlift for Alta Badia etc, both are on the Sella Ronda circuit.

It looks as though Hotel Fane is in the Val di Fassa area which is well linked to the Sella Ronda. Although I have skied in this area I am not sure where the village is. Hope this helps
Dolomiti Superski, where to stay?

Hi Gareth, We stay in Arabba, it's a small village with not much night life. Remember Venice is a four hour transfer and Verona about 3 hours so a long way for a short stay. Innsbruck is much nearer, approx 2 hours if you can fly there.

Corvara is a larger town in the Alta Badia region of the Dolomiti Superski and is on the Sella Ronda circuit.
