My partner has suggested finding a resort which she can enjoy whilst I ski. She loves mountains, the open air and snow. We would like a resort where she can do things. So somewhere with nice hotels and indoor pools, a lively place maybe with good restaurant and shops. She will he around 20 weeks.

And where are you going? Lower intermediate at best and thinking of France maybe, bit where's good for snow that early?

Thanks both Andy's I'll have a look at those resorts. I realise I'm taking a bit of a risk but I'm going with experienced skiers in Feb so would like to catch up a bit.

Hi guys
I asked this question a little while back about skiing in December, was thinking about Austria as I loved it (Seefeld). Thinking about Morzine or La Plagne as I can fly locally from Exeter then. I realise I should possibly wait but are they reasonalby safe for snow? Does say they are high altitude, guaranteed snow etc - though I expect that doesn't mean too much. I'm intending on chipping up from beginner to . . . . not beginner :-) Whatever that level is called! Thanks for any help :D |

Hi guys and gals
I'd like to go skiing on the 15th December. How much risk am I taking snow wise? I'm thinking Maybe Chamonix as I can fly to Geneva from local airport or does anyone have any high altitude resorts that would be safeish? Many thanks  |
