We were there a couple of seasons ago and it was expensive on the hill. We also had an issue with the ski school arrangements (esf). Their meeting place, directly behind the office, led to a huge bottle neck, it was February, as there's one poma to take the kids up to the main access lifts onto the ski area. This lost a lot of time out of the kids lesson time and they were always returned to that point early for pickup. When we left our kids at the ski school we hiked the couple of hundred meters up to the lifts, certainly got you warmed up for the morning ski ahead.

Hello all, first time caller. As the title says, 6 adults and 7 kids. Kids have all done 4 or 5 weeks skiing, adults are long time skiers.
We're looking for as near doorstep skiing as possible and we're currently considering Cervinia and Sauze area.Having trouble locating large S/C appartments and/or catered chalets. I know Cervinia is high but what about conditions in the Milkyway in April? Has anyone views or information on traveling from Turin to say Val Thorens or La Plagne as an alternative location? |
