I must admit ive been looking often at the web cams for St Anton and the conditions look fantastic!!! Cannot wait to get out there! plus the pound gained 1.5 cents on the euro the other day so the beers are probably going to be 3euros 99 now!!!! :D
Tony not sure what colours we are all in yet! Ive got a spyder jacket though so will probably be wrapped in that nursing a beer!!
Epsilon, thankyou for all the advice!! it definately helps learning as much as possible about where to go, what to do in reference to ski schools and developing. I have to admit im still at the snow plow stage so i have much to learn! the importnat thing is though im absolutely loving it!! It feels like i should have perminantly had skis attached to me!!! the fact its our first ski holiday is even more exciting!!!
Tony i hope you have at least £8 euros on you when we share a jar or 4 in the crazy kangarah!!!
Ive been looking at the snow reports and the ski conditions, as far as i am aware there is 25cm approx at the resort and 80ish centimetres on the upper slopes. It sounds really good!!! What are your views on the conditions????
Chaps you think £4 is bad for a beer! (which it is) but last year myself and a few friends were in France for the rugby world cup group stages and the final and we had to pay £7 per pint of heineken!!!!! Definately left a dent in the wallet!
Well only 3 weeks to go and im more than excited now! We've decided to let the company we're going with organise our ski hire and we're going to do at least a 3 day ski school out there! Have to admit i could not be more excited now!!!!
Tony im definately looking forward to sharing a few jars in the crazy kangarah!!! apparently you make so many new mates out there!!! Any last minute advice???
Thankyou for the advice! We've just got past our beginner course, we're now trying to develop our snow plough turns. My question is this, do we keep practising this, and how hard and different is it to do parallel turns?? Plus do we book our places on a ski school now or when we get there???
Hello!! sorry for the late post! i've got the joys of night shifts this weekend so my days are when im asleep at the moment!! Its nearly 1am now so only another 6 hours untill i finish! :D
Tony_H i must admit its a small world!! My friend who goes every year is already raving about the Krazy Kangarah so it would be good to tilt a beer or 3!!!
RoseR I did mean Krazy can not Karzy! That opens up an entirely different sort of image and im not sure i'd want to spend my apri ski time in there!!! (mind you im sure that depends on how good the chef at the chalet is!) hehehehehe :D
mtr259 i cant wait to go skiing1 its something ive always wanted to do!
Wanderer is there any hints for skiing back after a jar or 3! :-0

We're learning at Alpine ski, its in Aldershot, there was one closer to where we live in Guildford in Surrey, but this was recommended by some work colleagues so we decided to learn there! A this is the only ski slope ive ever tried my knowledge is limited, but it is really good!
Fantastic!! i'll have a look at the O2 slope to! what are the prices roughly for going there???? I was wondering about the lessons to! as there are a few of us going id rather the lessons be morning only as us 3 beginners are quite desperate to do as much skiing as possible with our friends! I'd rather not spend all the day in a ski school! 2-3 hours in the morning would be ideal though! Plus is there any way to purchase a lift pass before we get there? we're trying to pay for as much as possible prior to our arrival.
