BMI and ski equipment weight allowances

Does anyone have any experience of flying with BMI, and the weight limits they impose on ski equipment? I fly in the morning, and when i booked my flights, was told i can take any bag, as long as it`s a ski bag and there are no weight limits. I`ve just been looking through the website, and came accross a paragraph stating that the limit is 20KG upto a maximum of 32KG. If you go over 20KG, they charge you £7 per KG you are over! Does anyone know if this is enforced at the airport? my bag weighs in at 31 KG, so it`d cost me the best part of £80!!!
Hi Jon,

That`s a great help, thanks! I`ll do some internet searches for hotels, but i`m sure one will come up.
I`m heading out to Vallandry this weekend, and am trying to find the best routefrom Geneva. i`m pretty sure that the motorway will be longer in distance, but shorter in time due to the ease and speed of the motorway compared to the mountain roads. Does anyone have ay experirnce of this route, or any recomendations of which roads to take?

Also, we will be looking for hotel somewhere in between. We fly into Geneva on Friday, but can`t get into the chalet until Saturday ( done this so we can get into resort on Saturday morning, and get an extra days skiing :D and miss the rush up the mountain roads on saturday afternoon!) Does anyone know whether there are any hotels on or very close to the motorways/roads i`ll be using, within about an hour ish of Geneva?

Any help appriciated.

Cheers guys, Rob

If it all goes right! I know a couple of people who have ahd it, and it messed their eyes up in a big way. I suppose there is a risk with any surgery though...

back to the specs, i`ve just ordered the E.E Explorers, with high index optical inserts. i think that`s the only way forward for me.....

2 options i would say
1 the addidas you mention
2 bolle do a butterfly clip/insert that will fit pretty much ANY make of goggle
I can get this for you if you want to go down that road/quote]

Thanks for the reply mate, but i don`t really get on with goggles. i`ll wear them over sunnies when the weather turns, but that`s about it. Looks like the Adidas E.E Explorers are the way forward for me then!

Here`s one to test you then;

Right eye; Sph - -5.75 Cyl - -1.75 Axis 45
Left eye; Sph - -5.00

Oakley don`t do a lense for my presciption, otherwise i would go for them. I need wrap around glasses for skiing. The only serious option i have is Adidas Evil Eye Explorer, with optical inserts.....unless you can come up with a better idea?
New Generation or ESF??

Thanks for the reply. I`m happy to pay the extra, if it`s worth it. The general feel i was getting, was that New Generation have a superb reputation, and if it helps the other half improve at a faster and more comitent rate, it would be worth the extra. On the other hand, if they are not that different to ESF, it`d be a waste of 135 Euros.......and i`m not keen on wasting money!! )
