My partner is joining our group trip to France in February. She won't be skiing or participating in any snow sports except walking and that will literally be just a stroll. Will she need ski insurance or would normal holiday insurance cover her?

Pretty much as I thought, the companies just putting a little extra pressure to book now. Which is only natural I suppose.
Looking at the prices at the moment we are probably going to leave it for a few more weeks yet before booking I think. There's a group of 15 of us going....wish us luck ;) |

It's the time of year where I start looking for the deals and getting a feel for costs for the coming season. With out fail every company I have called so far have said the brexit has effected the costs this year, which I don't doubt. I wonder how much is brexit and how much is "let's put a bit extra on"?
Does anybody have any examples of price increases for this year compared to last year? Please remember, it isn't apost about staying or leaving the EU. :thumbup: :thumbdown: :D we can leave that to the politicians |

Not for me (honest, mine said yes already) but a friend. He is thinking of proposing to his girlfriend whilst on their skiing holiday. Her second trip. He is quite confident on the slopes. I don't think he can afford helicopters or anything like that.
Does anybody have any wacky/romantic/funny/memorable ideas for them? :D |

We are off to chalet Oliver in la rosiere. I have looked at lots of maps and tried to google the location but I can't seem to find where it actually is. It's located on the road going into the village but not having been there I don't know which side of the village that is!
I am looking at hiring skis with ski set and they have 5 shops, I am trying to find the one closest to the chalet. Hopefully somebody can help :) Any other tips to know about the resort for an advanced skier are gratefully accepted :) |

My old salomon equipe socks have finally had it. I have been looking for some new ones, I can see that some are looking the part but not actually doing what they should, as in the varying weave direction in specific parts of the sock is just a different colour and not actually an effective weave..if that makes sense?
I just wondered if you find paying £15 or more for a pair of socks worth it? |
