Do you need to have your data roaming enabled for this app to work?.....I always switch mine off when abroad to avoid the charge to receive a load of emails I dont need

Tony_H wrote:I am looking to book our next trip pretty soon and am wondering if France is as bad as they say? I normally ski in Austria and have enjoyed all the resorts i have been to as they have been well served by high speed lifts (often with covers and heated seats) and an excellent bus service where needed, but apparently there is little of that in France....... Is it really all slow lifts, closed with the slightest breath of wind, and hideously over priced food?

HAHAHAHA
I'm with you Tony.....

Does it have to be Geneve?

Fly to Turin and ski Cervinia?.....organised a few desk trips there and it's good fun but not mad and it does have Chalet Etoile for lunch
Tell me about it!.....couple of years back I think our half term coincided with Bavaria half term......we landed at Munich at 10.15, left before mid day and arrived in Maria Alm(200km) at 7.15!....ski hire shop was closed, supermarket closed and not open Sundays either....was not a happy bunny.....still, all was forgotten by Sunday afternoon
Thanks Tony_H.......i'll give them a call I think to find out
Can be stop-start is an understatement!....I would suggest you have something to eat before leaving the airport as it can be an absolute nightmare especially around the exit off A8 towards Innsbruck. Having said that, last year was pretty good if i remember correctly

As Buntycake says, don't forget your Vignette. They don't sell them at the car hire counters(at least not ones I've used) but you will be able to pick one up at the first service station on the Autobahn

Tony_H....good tip on the winter tyres....is that definite that they will have them by default?...if it is then I've been "done" for the last 5 years!
